Waste recovery

The european environmental regulation imposes increasing recycling and reuse rates for end of life products, which forces manufacturers to have an ecodesign approach for their products in their early life cycle and makes the sorting of shredding residues necessary in their late life cycle.

During the last yers, in order to reach and exceed these recycling objectives, Recylux has invested in innovative industrial projects and in a computer system that ensures the traceability of the material flows at every step of the sorting and recycling process.

Now, the sorting center in Saulnes allows to sort out and recover secundary raw materials that until then were sent to landfills. The objective is to reach a recycling rate of 95% of the material arriving to our crushers.

At Recylux, we recycle metals, but also:

• Car windows and concrete blocks used to equilibrate washing machines are collected and can be recycled for the building and public works industry
• Organic residues (wood, moss and fibers) are energetically recycled to produce electricity and steam
• Plastics are subjected to a special sort out in order to increase purity and enable their material or energy recycling.
